From the beginning of November to the
end of March we stock a comprehensive range
of bare-rooted fruit trees grown on bush or half standard root-stock. There is also
a selection of cordons, espaliers and fan-trained trees. We sell apples, pears,
cherries, plums, damsons, peaches, nectarines, quince and medlar.
|
|
The largest group are the apple trees and we try and vary the range to include old,
tried and tested varieties such as Bramley, cider apples and new selections. Filberts
and Cobnuts are also available bare-rooted. We stock soft fruit at the same time
of the year including raspberries, currants, gooseberries, strawberries and blackberries
as well as some of the hybrid fruit such as jostaberry and tayberry. |
|
If you require a variety we don’t usually stock we will try and source it for you.
We can also get family fruit trees (with two or three varieties grafted onto the
same tree) and larger quantities of most fruit. Throughout the year we have quince,
medlar, blueberries and figs in pots and more unusual fruit such as Actinidia (Kiwi),
Eriobotrya (Loquat) and Physalis (Cape Gooseberry). Even if you have limited space
you can always find room for some kind of fruit and pick your own!
