Although you can buy shrubs and trees in pots for hedging and forestry throughout
the year, the best time to buy them is from late autumn until, approximately, the
end of March depending on the season. The winter months are the best time of year
to plant especially if you are planting large quantities and are unable to do much
watering.

From
very small whips at 40-60cms (18-24”) up to about 3m (10’) the shrubs or trees
will be bare-rooted and then we do larger specimen trees which would be rootballed.
We supply a comprehensive list of native trees and shrubs, conifers and plants suitable
for pheasant cover and ground cover. An insert is included which gives you planting
distances and ideas for suitable native hedge mixes.

The list is available from October onwards and is priced according to size and quantity.
We can also supply other things you may require such as spiral rabbit guards, canes,
stakes, compost and bark mulch. Our staff can always advise you on how many plants
you will need and any other hedging or forestry queries. We do ask for a few days
notice so we can have your order bagged and ready for collection. If your order
is too large to fit in your car we can arrange for delivery at cost.
